Bulletin Summary
Certain B6.7 diesel engines manufactured between December 16, 2015 and March 24, 2020 and equipped with fuel module option FS90301 or FS90453 were either delivered with a heater plug in place of the fuel heater, or your vehicle is subject to the recently-released Safety Campaign #C2302 B6.7 Engine-Mounted Fuel Heater Safety Campaign, (Altec Campaign CSR 510) which requires removal or disablement of the fuel heater. Cummins is developing for installation at a future date a new fuel heating solution for customers that require it for cold weather operation. Cummins has not determined the availability date of the new fuel heating solution. Altec is not able to complete this repair or answer questions regarding this safety campaign. All work must be completed by an authorized Cummins Distributor or authorized warranty dealer.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
