Bulletin Summary

Altec Industries, Inc. has received notification from Ford Motor Company that a condition exists relating to motor vehicle safety, compliance, or emissions in a vehicle you possess that is equipped with Altec equipment. On certain 2022 model-year Super Duty vehicles with 6.7L engines, the Particulate Matter (PM) sensor was not installed on your vehicle due to a component supply shortage. The part is now available for installation. Additionally, the Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) sensor preheat is not functional in the powertrain calibration. Under certain conditions, this can lead to thermal shock and sudden failure of the NOx sensor. Follow the guidance in the Emission Recall 22E02 and Customer Satisfaction Program 22N05 communication from Ford.

About Technical Service Bulletins

A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
