"? Error Patterns with BMW Display Key This Service Information bulletin supersedes SI B66 06 16 dated April 2016. One or more of the following error patterns occurred while using the BMW display key; these error patterns only occur with the BMW display key: Comfort Access does not work while opening and closing. The BMW display key cannot be charged (USB cable or wirelessly). The BMW display key screen is locked and cannot display vehicle information. The BMW display key displays the Remote Control Parking (RCP) function even though the vehicle is not equipped with option SA 05DV ""Remote Control Parking"" Sporadically, the engine will not start with BMW display key and one of the following CCM ""Check Control messages"" is displayed: · Remote control, remote control not present or faulty. · Not possible to start engine. · Hold the remote near the steering column and then press the START-STOP button. see ""Owner's Handbook"". NOTE: The BMW display key continues to be able to lock/unlock the vehicle with the buttons, and/or the engine started, by emergency detection procedure (placing the BMW display key on the marked area of the steering column).
