Bulletin Summary
TRANSMISSION OVERHEATING WARNING ON GEN2 HYBRIDS. Transmission warning light is illuminated and vehicle goes into fail-safe mode. The following Check Control messages may be displayed: CC 585 - Hybrid System Fault! CC 569 - Drivetrain, stop carefully! CC 586 - Drivetrain no restart! During diagnosis, some of the following fault codes related to transmission overheating, may be stored in the EGS control module: 44D31F1 - Temperature sensor; excessive temperature in transmission (1450 C) 44D671 - Temperature sensor system; Hotmode 1 44D672 - Temperature sensor system; Hotmode 2 with driver message 44D673 - Temperature sensor system; Hotmode 2 with torque reduction Vehicle's repair history shows a recent transmission fluid replacement under a regular maintenance program. Transmission has been overfilled during the last fluid replacement service.
