switch Electronic range select Before replacing the switch electronic gear selector 68379834AB due to P0826-29, P0826- 11 active codes, please follow these steps: 1.- Refer to service library procedure and follow diagnosis steps at BCM. 2.- If failure still present, make sure the switch is properly connected and there is no corrosion or pinching, disconnect the switch & reconnect it, and reverify the issue. 3.- Verify if failure is still present, review if there is lack of communication between gear selector switch and BCM. For example, try switching between driving modes. 4.- Read at the BCM diagnosis session if BCM is receiving information from gear selector. 5.- Do a hard reset to BCM and evaluate if any DTC or failure code is set. Retest if failure still present. If there are no DTC's, physical defects, gear selector inop, then the Electronic Gear Selector Switch does not need to be replaced.
