Bulletin Summary
SWITCH Multifunction Before replacing the steering column control module (SCCM) due to DTC U0212 active, please follow these steps: 1.- Refer to service library procedure and follow diagnosis steps at BCM. 2.- If failure still present, make sure all the switches' and airbag's harness are properly connected and there is no corrosion or pinching, disconnect the switches & reconnect them, and reverify the issue. 3.- Verify if failure is still present, review if there is lack of communication between SCCM and BCM. For example, activate turn signals or wipers. 4.- Read at the BCM diagnosis session if BCM is receiving information from SCCM. Through diagnosis review if activation from wipers is requested, if turn signal, blindspot and lane assistant work. 5.- Do a hard reset to BCM and evaluate if any DTC is set. Retest if failure still present.
