1.4L FIRE Service Engine (Normally Aspirated) This engine in this kit will contain one of 8 different production full dress engines, but labeled as component engine 68275870AA or 71AA. The received engine will be configured for use with an automatic transmission, (includes auto transmission adapter plate / flexplate) or manual transmission. (includes flywheel / clutch asm) The received engine will be configured with or without a block heater. If required, dealer to purchase/install the block heater. The included instruction sheet K6855863AB in engine kit 68275870AA is to be followed for all applications that it applies. Please see the sheet for details. In addition to the items detailed in instruction sheet K6855863AB, please read the following below to determine the rework required to install this engine into a 2012- 2018 Fiat 500 (FF) with 1.4L EAB normally aspirated engine: 1) determine which condition exists for the received service engine a) vehicle has a manual transmission, received manual transmission engine. b) vehicle has a manual transmission, received automatic transmission engine. c) vehicle has an automatic transmission, received automatic transmission engine. d) vehicle has an automatic transmission, received manual transmission engine. 2) follow below steps based on condition (a) through (d) above. Condition a) No further rework required, other than ordering/installing a block heater if required. Condition b) Remove flexplate / auto trans adapter plate / auto trans engine mounting bracket / auto trans engine oil dipstick from new service engine. Transfer flywheel / clutch / manual trans engine mounting bracket / manual trans engine oil dipstick from old engine. Order/install block heater if required. Condition c) Identify the automatic transmission adapter plate on the original engine. Looking at the rear of the vehicle engine with adapter plate mounted:
