Bulletin Summary
Various Faults Concerning the Automatic Tailgate Operation. Complaints of sporadic or permanent faults may exist with the automatic tailgate function. One or more of the following fault codes have been stored: A2AB, A2B1, A2B2, A2B3, A2B4, A2B5, A2B6, A2B7, A2B8, A2B9, A2BA, A2BC, A2BE, and A6E2. CAUSE The following four main faults are currently known: 1. The lower tailgate does not close completely. 2. The tailgate wiring harness near the hinge area is damaged. 3. Fault in the left or right side electric spindle drive 4. Fault in the tailgate lock. 5. The tailgate lock and tailgate lift drive connectors may have corrosion or discoloration. If any is seen, the part must be replaced.
