According to Ford Customer Satisfaction Notice 23B50: "The Battery Charger Control Module (BCCM) software does not have a transfer function that predicts the charging port pin/terminal temperature. The battery may not fully charge and/or the charge cord may become stuck in the vehicle, also may experience a burning smell or melting of the charge port pins."
