Bulletin Summary
This bulletin contains secondary inspection procedures and part replacement procedures for tie-rods identified as SUSPECT under 24PBGB ONLY. Certain chassis that have completed 24PBGB inspection with “GOOD” results but have not filed warranty claims to close out the campaign in SIR will need to file a claim and close out 24PBGD. Secondary inspection and replacement procedures are now available through this bulletin for parts found to be SUSPECT in the 24PBGB Safety Recall. Customers will be advised NOT TO DRIVE TRUCKS until this remedy is completed.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
