Bulletin Summary
Certain 2019 G70 (IK) vehicles equipped with a Theta 2.0T GDI engine may have a condition of no restart after entering Idle Stop Go (ISG) at a stop. This condition is caused by low voltage at the starter S-terminal causing the magnetic switch to become inoperable. This bulletin outlines the procedure to remedy the condition by installing a gasket to the starter mounting area.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
