TECH ARTICLE TA0021: Front Wheel Skid Spacer for 2018 Touring. Front fender damage caused by shipping spacer. The spacer is used to chock the tire in the skid correctly. This avoids shipping strap contact and possible damage to the front fender. If spacer remains attached, remove spacer before it contacts the front fender.
