Bulletin Summary
TT-17-009 Beginning with 2017 model year, all Hino vehicles are equipped with a particulate matter (PM) sensor near the exhaust exit. A ceramic sensing element is used in the PM sensor and can be damaged or broken if the sensor is dropped or impact occurs to the head of the sensor. If removal or replacement of the PM sensor is necessary, care should be taken with both the old and new sensors to prevent any damage or additional damage to the sensor. For warranty consideration, the PM sensor MUST be returned in the original box and the plastic protective cap installed. 2017 and 2018 model year Conventional trucks and COE (Cab Over Engine) trucks.
