Bulletin Summary

SCB-006-15 1) DPR System (Diesel Particulate Regeneration) manual regeneration may not complete; this occurs when the BCU temporally detects sticking of the CAV (Combustion Air Valve). This mis-detection will cause regeneration to be suspended. In order to avoid this interruption of DPR manual regeneration, enhanced BCU (Burner Control Unit) software is available. 2) Misdetection of P2030 (Burner System Misfire); the BCU monitors the flame temperature to confirm burner ignition occurred correctly. In some cases, a misfire may be mis-detected if the flame is not in direct contact with the sensor. In order to prevent this mis-detection enhanced BCU software is available.

About Technical Service Bulletins

A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
