Bulletin Summary
Concerns: Engine oil level sensor Information: Unnecessary replacement of the engine oil level sensor We have discovered that engine oil level sensors are increasingly being replaced, but in subsequent tests carried out by the manufacturer, these oil level sensors are found to be functioning correctly. For this reason, we want to inform you that after filling the engine with engine oil, the oil level must be measured using the on-board computer (confirmation check). If the confirmation check is not carried out, the "Check oil level" warning message will still be displayed. In addition, the "Check oil level" warning message will come on if the oil level has not been checked for a long time. In this case, check the oil level to determine the current oil level and correct it if necessary. The oil level should be checked regularly, e.g. whenever you refuel, as described in the Owner's Manual.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
