Bulletin Summary

Wheeled Coach/Road Rescue is recommending that you inspect the U-Bolts on the Dodge Four Link Suspension. The U-Bolts used to fasten the suspension unit bottom to the axle should be installed so that equal amount of threads above the nuts exists in all positions. If these nuts are not tightened equally, the length of the bolt can be excessive, causing the potential for the top of bolt to come in contact with the bottom of the bump stop bracket on Dodges. Inspect your Dodge for evidence of the top of the U-Bolt hitting the bottom of the bump stop bracket. If contact exist cut off any excessive threads on the U-bolt and inspect frame and cross member for damage.

About Technical Service Bulletins

A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
