Bulletin Summary
Some customers may complain of an engine restart failure after i-stop activation, following a stop after low-speed driving (below 20 km/h). Engine restart is possible with key operation. This problem occurs when an IR request happens during an extremely short period (a few milliseconds) while transitioning to i-stop control, such as when the brake is released. In this case, the engine may fail to restart due to improper i-stop control. This concern has been eliminated through a PCM control software modification.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
