Consumer Description

TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS OF TIRE FAILURE. FIRESTONE REPLACING TIRES AT NO COST FOR DEFECT. ON FIRST INCIDENT HAD COMPLETE TREAD SEPARATION. ON SECOND INCIDENT CUSTOMER STOPPED VEHICLE AND CHANGED TIRE. TIRE WAS DEFORMED ON TREAD SURFACE AS IF DELAMINATION OR SEPARATION WERE ABOUT TO OCCUR. TIRE WAS STILL ON RIM WHEN CUSTOMER TURNED VEHICLE IN. IT WAS STILL HOLDING 70 LBS. OF AIR (MAX PRESSURE RECOMMENDED ON REAR TIRE 80 LBS. *AK (TIRESIZE: LT245 75 R)
