Consumer Description

ALL WINDSHIELDS PRODUCED BY AUDI FOR TT MODEL HAVE NOTICEABLE VISUAL DISTORTION SHOWING IN WINDSHIELD AS VIEWED FROM THE DRIVERS SEAT WHILE LOOKING OUT THE PASSENGERS SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. DISTORTION APPEARS AS VERTICLE LINES RUNNING FROM TO BOTTOM OF WINSHIELD MAKING ANYTHING VIEWED, ESPECIALLY STRAIGHT LINES, DISTORT. THIS CAUSES CAN AND HAS CAUSED MOMENTARY DIZZINESS. THIS IS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT ACCORDING TO AUDI OF AMERICA, JERRAD, IN CUSTOMER SERVICE, AUDI HAS BEEN UNABLE TO DATE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THEY ARE WILLING TO SUPPLY A THRID WINDSHEILD IN THE HOPES IT WILL HAVE LESS DISTORTION, BUT HE SUGGESTED I MAY WANT TO WAIT TO SEE IF THIS PRODUCTION PROBLEM IS EVER FIXED AND THAN OBTAIN A NEW WINDSHIELD. THOUGHT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS POTETNTIAL SAFETY HAZARD.*AK
