Consumer Description

I WILL BE DRIVING ALONG ON THE FREEWAY AND IT WILL START RAINING REAL HARD AND SUDDENLY THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WON'T COME ON.. I HAVE TO PULL OVER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, BECAUSE VISIBILITY IS NIL..IN THE BEGINNING OF THIS PROBLEM I COULD GET THEM STARTED AGAIN BY TRYING THE WIPER SWITCH , OFF AND ON MANY TIMES..I NOW REMOVE THE FUSE, CLEAN IT, AND REPLACE IT. THEY WORK AGAIN FOR AWHILE..UNTIL THE NEXT TIME IT HAPPENS. SEEMS TO BE GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE WITH TIME. I NEED TO GET THIS FIXED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, SINCE I DRIVE 60 MILES ROUND TRIP , DAILY..I LIVE IN A VERY RAINY STATE.. I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THIS RECALL IN 1998 OR 1999, SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE USED. *AK
