What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? - Display for backup camera freezes after putting vehicle in reverse. Yes, it is available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - The display freezes when putting the vehicle in revers and the initial image on display of what was behind the vehicle stays the same while moving. If something or someone moves behind the vehicle while moving the image does not update to show that something or someone is now behind the vehicle. Previously recall 23S48 was completed related to the issue but it did not resolve the issue. Vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the dealer informed me that it is a faulty APIM and not the backup camera and is therefore not covered by the recall. This is a significant safety issue and needs remedied regardless of what component needs replaced. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? - Yes Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - Only by the dealer (Midwest Ford in Hutchinson, KS). Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? - No
