The contact stated that the failure persisted. Most recently, there was smoke coming from the exhaust pipe, and the vehicle vibrated while driving. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issues, and the contact was referred to the local dealer. The contact stated that the dealer had committed fraud since the manufacturer paid for the recall to be completed. Prior to the failure, the contact had replaced the headlamp. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for maintenance, and afterwards, the vehicle was washed, and water entered the headlight and damaged the sensor. The failure mileage was approximately 155,000
