NHTSA Complaint #11713628 — 2016 FORD EDGE

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V572000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the rearview camera was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the rearview camera could be replaced at the owner's expense; however, the vehicle could not be repaired under the recall because the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.
