NHTSA Complaint #11712580 — 2022 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE

Turned on the car to the find the check engine light was on. Drive 5 minutes to my son’s school to pick him up. Turned the car off, then back on to see if maybe the check engine light would go off. Instead the check engine light, battery light and service hybrid charging system errors appeared on the dash. THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN OFF AND I WAS UNABLE TO PUT IT IN GEAR AT ALL. It left me stranded. I called a tow truck and about 10 min before they were set to arrive I tried turning it off and on again and it started like normal (check engine light still on) Drove 5 min home and it did it again in my driveway. Happened again when my husband started it to take a look. This happened to us one other time about 3 months after we bought the car. We’ve only had it 9 months. Both recalls have been completed. This is unacceptable.
