Consumer Description

I live in Illinois, my 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT has 51,318 miles on it as of 12/31/2025. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Engine Oil Cooler hose line detaching from crimp - small oil leak currently. Not yet fixed. Available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? If this component fails, all oil from the vehicle will be lost and inoperable. This could cause a traffic accident, especially if towing a load. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Confirmed by an independent service center. I will be taking my vehicle to the local GMC service center for additional confirmations. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No, but GM has acknowledged the issue through these customer satisfaction surveys (CSP XXX/ XXX). Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There has been no failure yet. A small oil leak was found on my garage floor. My issue is that this is a known issue in cold weather climates. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
