The contact stated that the vehicle had been parked in the driveway. The contact checked for branches or stones near the rear end of the vehicle that might have caused the glass to shatter. The contact had not seen evidence of any debris or objects nearby to cause the rear window to shatter. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a glass shop or a dealer to have the vehicle diagnosed. The vehicle had not yet been repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and filed a case for the contact. The failure mileage was approximately 41,000.
