NHTSA Complaint #11702837 — 2024 GMC SIERRA 1500

The contact owns a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. The contact stated that while driving 40 MPH and attempting to make a right turn while depressing the accelerator pedal, the contact heard a popping sound coming from the front driver’s side and three of the wheels attempted to switch to 4WD; however, the driver’s side wheel failed to respond as intended. The contact was able to pull over to the right side of the road. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the result was not provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000 (ENGINE and ENGINE COOLING); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 55,000.
