NHTSA Complaint #11701671 — 2015 RAM 1500

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH on the Interstate, the electronic throttle warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over to the right side of the road, turned off and restarted the vehicle, but the failure persisted. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. The contact stated that he was an independent mechanic and had diagnosed the vehicle. The contact replaced the throttle body and the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 172,120.
