NHTSA Complaint #11697966 — 2016 FORD TAURUS

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Taurus. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V611000 (Structure) and 25V695000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that when the vehicle was shifted into reverse(R), the back over prevention screen turned off. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, and it was confirmed that the parts for the recall repairs were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that after visiting the car wash on several occasions, and the vehicle was parked, the contact became aware that the passenger’s and driver’s door trims had detached. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but no assistance was provided. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
