The vehicle was taken to the dealer and was diagnosed with a failed control unit. The contact stated that an unknown software update was performed. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that two days later, the failure reoccurred. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The dealer informed the contact that there were five similar vehicles with similar failures. The contact stated that the failure began two days after the vehicle was purchased. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer twice; however, the failure was not duplicated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 2,500.
