The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle briefly hesitated and failed to accelerate as expected. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the continuously variable transmission. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,000.
