NHTSA Complaint #11689747 — 2024 HONDA HR-V

I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2024 Honda HR-V Sport (VIN: [XXX] , mileage: 45,000). The driver’s seat lowers unexpectedly while driving. This happens without warning and creates a serious safety hazard, especially when operating the vehicle on highways. I commute daily in New Jersey (Elizabeth to Union City, approx. 40 minutes on highways), and this defect places me and other drivers at risk. Despite multiple visits to Honda of Route 22 and Honda Service Center (Hillside, NJ), Honda has refused to repair or replace the defective seat under warranty. A technician even admitted this is a known issue with this model. Honda has denied coverage and left me driving a dangerous vehicle.
