The vehicle was later diagnosed, and it was determined that the vent control valve needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The dealer confirmed that the recall repair parts were on backorder. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the malfunction indicator light illuminated. The contact spoke with the general manager at the local dealer and was informed about a buyback options. The manufacturer was called, but the automated system provided the recall details and advised that the recall parts were on backorder until December. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 19,300.
