NHTSA Complaint #11685954 — 2016 FORD TAURUS

The contact's mother owns a 2016 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that while shifted to reverse(R), the back over prevention camera displayed a black image, or showed the radio screen. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent, but was a recurring failure. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the back-over prevention camera needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
