NHTSA Complaint #11685219 — 2012 URAL TOURIST

The contact owns a 2012 Ural Tourist. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V431000 (Wheels); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while riding at 55 MPH, the rear wheel started wobbling. The contact pulled over to the side of the road, and the contact replaced the wheel with the spare. The contact stated that the failure recurred while riding, but the rear wheel was not replaced because the part was not available. The local dealer was contacted several times and informed the contact that the part to do the recall repair was not available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but no assistance was provided.
