Connection to Recall: •Lifter and camshaft are internal engine components dependent on the same lubrication and oiling system as the crankshaft/connecting rods cited in the recall defect. •The defect’s potential to contaminate oil and cause internal engine damage makes this failure consistent with recall-related damage.
