The contact stated that upon noticing that the roof rail cover was missing, the vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V316000(Structure); however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that while driving at 30 MPH, the roof rail cover detached from the vehicle. The driver was able to retrieve the roof rail cover. The contact called the local dealer, but there was no response. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.
