NHTSA Complaint #11674892 — 2022 NISSAN FRONTIER

I am reporting an issue with the audio head unit/touchscreen system in my truck. The unit consistently malfunctions by producing loud static noise when I increase the volume. In many instances, the radio completely shuts off or freezes, and I have to repeatedly press the on/off knob to get it working again. Sometimes it takes several tries before it functions normally. This problem creates a major distraction while driving, as I have to take my eyes off the road and manually reset the unit multiple times. This can be a safety hazard not only for me but also for others on the road. The issue has persisted despite normal use, and it seems to be a defect in the head unit itself. I am requesting that this issue be investigated for possible recall or repair coverage, as it affects both functionality and driver safety. This is not an isolated issue. After doing some research online, I found dozens of other drivers across different truck forums and complaint sites describing the exact same problem—sudden loud static, loss of audio, and needing to reset the system by cycling the power or restarting the vehicle.
