NHTSA Complaint #11674462 — 2019 RAM 1500

[XXX] Known issue in 5th Gen Ram 1500s. Defective Mopar Connector Cam Buss. Causes the truck shifting problems and can cause going into park while driving. Issue below is on the forum causing a wreck. My 2019 Dodge Ram Limited started malfunctioning, causing me to wreck when the shifter unexpectedly went into park while I was driving. The brakes locked up, making the truck slide, and by the time it switched back, I was already sliding off the road. Parksense unavailable warning & service Shifter lights do come on. I called the Murfreesboro Ram dealer and they confirmed the issue that is was known to dealers. Majority of the dealers are sold out of the part due to this issue.
