NHTSA Complaint #11672928 — 2016 FORD FUSION

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the rearview camera was intermittently inoperative. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that there was an internal short and that the rearview camera needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact researched and became aware of an unknown NHTSA recall; however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
