The contact stated that after approximately 24 hours, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact's husband checked the vehicle and found that the purge valve canister had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V793000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was unknown.
