Consumer Description
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The bolts attaching the lower cable pulleys for the living room slide shear off. The damaged components are still in the wall of my camper. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? If they had broken going down the road during the next right hand turn the slide could come out unexpectedly causing collision or roll over of the travel trailer. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The travel trailer has been repaired on two separate occasions by the authorized selling dealership. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? I called the manufacturer to alert them of this issue and they were not interested. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There were no warning signs the pulleys will just burst off the walls. My travel trailer has only been used 6 times since being purchased new.
