NHTSA Complaint #11667658 — 2011 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds over a bumpy road surface, the vehicle jerked, downshifted to first gear unexpectedly and stalled. The ABS warning light, the power train warning light, the traction control warning light, and other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The message "Check Braking System" was displayed. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring intermittently. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road on several occasions. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V075000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
