Subject: Defective Hybrid System – 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Overland – Sudden Power Loss Vehicle Info: •Year/Make/Model: 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe Overland •VIN: [XXX] •Issue: Recurring digital crash input fault ([XXX]) disabling hybrid propulsion. •Safety Risk: Sudden propulsion loss while turning or on highway, placing driver and others in danger. Incident Summary: •First occurrence: Feb 2025. •Latest confirmation: May 2025 (work order on file). •Dealership confirmed fault and noted possible ORC module replacement if the code returns. •FCA STAR bulletins (S2208000154 & S2408000063) acknowledge the issue but state no official remedy is yet available. •FCA refuses to declare vehicle safe in writing. Outcome: Vehicle cannot operate in electric or hybrid mode. This is not a warning light issue — this is a propulsion system failure that compromises basic driving safety. We respectfully request NHTSA to: •Include this vehicle/VIN in an investigation of known [XXX] cases. •Enforce disclosure requirements to inform consumers of unresolved critical defects. Attachments.
