The contact stated that the steering wheel became inoperable, and the brake pedal was firm. The contact used the parking brake to slow the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was sputtering and rattling abnormally. The vehicle was shifted into park. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to move for 30 minutes. The vehicle was restarted but was moving slowly and failed to exceed 5 MPH while driving. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 129,143.
