NHTSA Complaint #11655294 — 2023 FORD F-150 HYBRID

The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the vehicle shut off and the wheels locked up unexpectedly. The check engine warning light was illuminated, with the message “Service Soon” displayed. The contact towed the vehicle to a dealer however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure, but the battery was replaced. On another occasion, the contact took the vehicle to a different dealer, and the engine block was replaced because it was cracked. The vehicle was not repaired after the most recent failure. The contact stated that the failure was now more frequent and occurred more whenever it rained. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20.
