Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2017 RAM 1500. The contact stated that after fueling the vehicle up, while driving at approximately 65 MPH, the check engine and low fuel warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank and sensors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact believes that the failure was associated with NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V434 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
