Consumer Description

The contact owned a 2017 BMW 530i. The contact stated while the unknown driver was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle was involved in a collision. The contact stated the vehicle was driven without the contact's authorization. The contact stated the air bags did not deploy. The contact stated that the front driver's side door was severely damaged. In addition, the electrical system was disabled. The vehicle was taken to a tow yard. The insurance company inspected the vehicle and determined that the vehicle was being driven at the time of the failure. The vehicle was condemned as a total loss. A Police report was filed, however the information was unavailable. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.
