NHTSA Complaint #11651453 — 2010 HONDA ACCORD

This August will make two years since my airbags deployed. When closing the passenger door, all of the airbags deployed(with the exception of the dashboard). This normal amount of force caused this to happen. I have also read many complaints with the same issue as mine, and a lot of them are not on the recall list. I want to file this complaint to hopefully bring forward a resolution. Also, around the same time, while traveling to another state, my piston rings failed. They collapsed together. I had to have it “fixed” and towed to a near by auto shop. When I got back on the road, another spark plug failed. When I finally got home with my car, I took it to my local dealership. After taking my entire engine apart, they found that my piston rings failed”collapsed together”. This was a hefty bill. After some more research on my car, I found that this is only one reason why this model of Honda was discontinued. There is a malfunction with the engineering.
