The contact owns a 2022 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH on a two-lane road, a truck going in the opposite direction passed the vehicle, and the Forward Collision Avoidance system erroneously engaged and applied the brakes and abruptly stopped the vehicle. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had occurred once. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
